Creating a Stable Future — Through Freedom and Love

Work with Flexibility and Balance

Surrogacy is a flexible, empowering path that lets you continue your normal routine while making a life-changing impact. Most surrogates are able to keep their regular jobs throughout the pregnancy as long as the work is light-duty or low-intensity—such as administrative, remote, or home-based roles. Only in the final weeks before delivery is time off typically needed to rest and prepare for a healthy birth.

Enjoy Steady Monthly Support

With Blessing Surrogacy, you’ll receive at least $5,000 per month in financial support during your pregnancy. This steady income can help pay down debts, strengthen savings, and bring more security to your household—while you do something truly meaningful.

A Journey of Love and Fulfillment

Becoming a surrogate is an act of compassion and strength. You help another family come to life—while creating new possibilities and stability for your own. It’s a journey filled with purpose, pride, and the lasting joy of changing lives.

Becoming a Surrogate Outside California

Even if you don’t live in California, you can still become a surrogate with Blessing Surrogacy — we welcome qualified surrogates from many U.S. states. The process is slightly different depending on your location, but here’s how it generally works:

1. Initial Eligibility Review

First, our team confirms that surrogacy is legally permitted in your state. Most U.S. states allow gestational surrogacy under specific guidelines. If your state has restrictions, we can help match you with a California-based legal framework.

2. Remote Screening & Medical Evaluation

All initial steps — interviews, psychological screening, and document submission — can be done online or through local clinics. Once matched, we coordinate your medical screening travel (usually 2–3 short trips to California).

3. Travel & Compensation Coverage

When travel is required, all travel costs are fully covered — flights, hotel, and per diem. You’ll continue to receive your monthly compensation (around $5,000) during pregnancy, no matter where you live.

4. Legal Support and Contracts

Every surrogate receives independent legal representation. Our attorneys ensure the agreement follows both California’s surrogacy law and your home state’s requirements, protecting you and the intended parents.

5. Delivery Options

Most surrogates deliver in their home state, coordinated with a California legal team. If needed, we can also arrange delivery in California with full travel assistance.

❤️ Summary

Living outside California doesn’t stop you from helping a family grow. With Blessing Surrogacy, you’ll receive full support — legal, medical, and financial — to make your journey safe and rewarding.

Have questions about becoming a surrogate? You’re not alone. Explore answers to the most common questions women ask before and during their surrogacy journey.

🌼 To qualify as a surrogate, applicants generally need to be between 21 and 39 years old, have delivered at least one healthy baby with no major pregnancy or delivery complications, and maintain a stable and supportive living environment. Good physical and mental health are essential, along with a non-smoking and drug-free lifestyle. Most programs also require U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, a healthy BMI (typically between 19–30), and no major criminal history.

💖 Applicants should have a genuine motivation to help others grow their families, while also understanding the emotional, physical, and time commitment involved. Each potential surrogate will undergo detailed medical, psychological, and background screenings to ensure readiness for the journey.

💰 Compensation varies depending on experience, location, and specific program structure. At Blessing Surrogacy, first-time surrogates typically earn between USD 60,000 and 80,000, while experienced surrogates may receive USD 90,000 or more.

🎁 This total usually includes base compensation, maternity clothing allowance, embryo transfer allowance, travel expenses, and additional bonuses for milestones such as starting medications or completing the delivery.

💳 All payments are made through a secure escrow account, ensuring transparency and reliability. Many surrogates use this compensation to pay off debts, support their families, invest in education, or build financial security — making the journey not only emotionally fulfilling but also financially empowering.

🗓️ The entire journey typically lasts 12 to 18 months, depending on medical scheduling and match timing. The process starts with application and screening (around 1–2 months), followed by the matching stage with intended parents (another 1–2 months).

⚖️ Once both sides agree, legal contracts are drafted and signed before the surrogate begins medical preparation and embryo transfer at an IVF clinic. After a successful pregnancy, the surrogate receives regular prenatal care, leading to delivery around 9 months later.

🤝 Some journeys move faster if a good match is found quickly and medical cycles align smoothly, while others may take longer if there are medical delays or rematching. Throughout the journey, Blessing Surrogacy provides continuous support, coordination, and communication with all parties involved.

Yes, for most women who meet the medical qualifications, surrogacy is generally safe. However, as with any pregnancy, there are potential risks involved. The safety of the surrogate is always the top priority, and the entire process is designed to minimize risks through careful medical screening, close monitoring, and expert support.

🩺 1. Medical Screening Minimizes Risk

Before becoming a surrogate, you will undergo extensive medical evaluations to ensure that you are physically and mentally healthy enough to carry a baby. These evaluations include:

  • Hormonal blood tests

  • Pelvic ultrasounds

  • Uterine lining assessment

  • Infectious disease screening

  • OB/GYN history review (especially previous pregnancies and deliveries)

Only candidates who meet strict health criteria are approved to move forward, which dramatically lowers the risk of complications.

📊 2. Risk Levels Are Comparable to Typical Pregnancies

Clinical studies show that gestational surrogates do not experience significantly higher health risks than women carrying their own pregnancies, as long as:

  • They have had prior uncomplicated deliveries

  • They are not carrying multiples (twins or triplets increase risk)

  • They follow medical guidance closely

According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the most common risks are the same as with any pregnancy:

  • Gestational diabetes

  • High blood pressure

  • Preterm labor (more common in multiple gestations)

  • Cesarean delivery (which may be planned in some cases)

🧘 3. Emotional and Psychological Support Is Also Provided

Surrogates also receive mental health screenings and have access to counseling or support groups throughout the process to ensure overall well-being.

💡 Bottom line: Surrogacy is considered safe for medically qualified women. All risks will be clearly explained during your consultation, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.

🧬 No. In modern programs, nearly all cases are gestational surrogacy, meaning the surrogate does not use her own eggs. Instead, an embryo created using the intended parents’ or donor’s eggs and sperm is transferred into the surrogate’s uterus.

👶 This ensures that the surrogate has no genetic connection to the baby, eliminating potential legal or emotional complexities. The surrogate’s role is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the embryo to grow.

💊 Before the embryo transfer, the surrogate takes hormonal medications to prepare her body, synchronize her cycle with the embryo, and optimize the chances of implantation. The IVF clinic manages all medical protocols under close supervision.

⚖️ Surrogacy laws differ significantly from state to state. California, Nevada, Colorado, and Oregon are considered among the most surrogacy-friendly states, with clear legal frameworks that recognize and protect both surrogates and intended parents.

🚫 In contrast, some states either restrict or prohibit compensated surrogacy agreements, or only allow altruistic (unpaid) arrangements.

📜 At Blessing Surrogacy, we carefully guide each family and surrogate to operate within fully legal jurisdictions and connect both sides with experienced reproductive attorneys. Legal contracts always establish parental rights before birth and ensure that both parties’ responsibilities, privacy, and financial agreements are fully documented and enforceable under state law.

🧭 Yes — in many cases, it’s still possible, though extra planning is required. Surrogacy laws apply mainly to where the baby is born, not necessarily where the surrogate lives.

🏡 If you reside in a state that has unclear or restrictive surrogacy laws, Blessing Surrogacy can help you work with a surrogacy-friendly clinic and deliver in a legal state, such as California, Colorado, or Nevada. This ensures your journey remains fully compliant and that your legal rights — as well as the intended parents’ rights — are protected.

✈️ We coordinate logistics like travel arrangements, accommodation near the delivery hospital, and state-specific legal procedures. Many surrogates living in less friendly states successfully partner with intended parents by traveling for medical appointments or delivery when needed.

⚖️ Our legal team carefully reviews your residency and birth location to ensure a safe, lawful, and well-supported experience from start to finish.

🔬 Before acceptance, surrogates undergo comprehensive medical, psychological, and background screenings. Medical evaluations include full blood work, infectious disease testing (HIV, Hepatitis B/C, etc.), hormone level assessments, and a uterine ultrasound to ensure the body is ready for pregnancy.

🧠 Psychological screening ensures emotional stability, stress management, and support from family or partners. Background checks verify a safe, responsible living environment.

🛡️ These screenings not only protect the intended parents but also safeguard the surrogate’s health, ensuring the journey proceeds safely and comfortably for everyone involved. Any red flags, such as untreated health issues or unstable home conditions, must be addressed before proceeding.

👩‍⚕️ The IVF process — including embryo creation and transfer — typically takes place at the intended parents’ chosen fertility clinic, often one that has already handled their embryos. However, once pregnancy is confirmed, surrogates are free to receive prenatal care from their own trusted OB-GYN or hospital.

💗 This approach ensures both medical continuity and personal comfort. Many surrogates appreciate having their familiar doctor handle checkups and delivery, while the IVF clinic stays involved for early monitoring and reports.

🤍 Throughout the process, Blessing Surrogacy provides coordination between both medical teams to ensure communication, consistency, and the surrogate’s comfort and safety remain top priorities.

🔐 Both the surrogate and intended parents are represented by independent attorneys who specialize in reproductive law. Before any medical procedures begin, both parties sign a detailed legal agreement that defines parental rights, confidentiality, compensation schedule, insurance, and what happens under specific circumstances (e.g., multiple pregnancies, medical complications).

📄 This ensures that the surrogate is fully informed and protected. The intended parents’ names are placed on the baby’s birth certificate through pre-birth or post-birth orders, depending on the state.

🤫 All personal information remains confidential, and Blessing Surrogacy never shares identifying details without consent. Our legal and support teams ensure the entire process is transparent, ethical, and secure.
